Yoshitsune was born in a small village in Hoshido to a warrior and his dancer wife. She had always dreamed of taking up the sword like her father had as he once worked under the king. She grew up in a healthy and beautiful environment before her village was attacked by ninjas from the Principality of Fūma. Her father hid her, her elder brother and younger sister,and her mother together while he tried to stall the ninjas and keep them from reaching his children.

As soon as the ordeal ended, her father had been killed and the rest of the family had to fend for themselves. That was when Yoshitsune decided to pick up the sword, training with her elder brother as he was taught well by their father. The family traveled into the kingdom and managed to gain a new home, whilst in the midst of that, the elder children had to work hard for their sickly mother and help their family prosper.

That was when Yoshitsune heard of the rumor of the Hoshidan Prince, Akito's return to Hoshido. She had not known much of the prince, only the tales, but she didn't care much about him at first since she had to help her family. One night, her mother's condition had worsened. Despite the efforts of doctors and herbalists, her mother passed away, but not without having Yoshitsune and her brother promise to keep their younger sister safe at all costs.

Yoshitsune then devoted herself to training, even going as far as to overexert herself when she did. That was a faithful time and the moment she met the prince. Although she didn't remember much of the encounter, she only heard his voice as she passed out. When she awoke, she told him her story, first shedding tears after so long.

After seeing how dedicated and loyal she was, she had since been appointed as Akito's retainer, as she owed her life to him and gave her a friend to talk to when she lost them during the attack.

Personality

Yoshitsune is a little overprotective when it comes to the people she cares for, especially Akito. She is usually deemed as a tomboyish girl, much like Hinoka, and tends to stick to her virtues a little too much. She does tend to spoil Akito a lot, who she intends to protect with her life.

She does tend to be a little practical and is usually deemed to be an ideal leader. She also tends to be extremely hard on herself and hard on others. She does have a great load of respect for those within the army, especially the royals, and usually speaks formally to others.

Appearance

Yoshitsune is 20, and stands at a height of 5'1, but is usually seen as 5'3, which is usually supported due to the very high geta she wears. She has light purple hair with side bangs and the rest of her hair that's tied in a ponytail with rope that has paper stringing from it. She has sharp eyes which are a greyish purple.

She usually wears a blue and purple samurai garb and later reclasses into a swordmaster. Although she may seem like a tomboy, she does wear feminine kimonos with various hair ornaments.

I am not one to be feminine

She tends to address her elder brother in a more masculine tone, calling him 'Aniue' or will call someone 'Aniue' or 'Aneue' when she holds a great deal of respect to them as a senior.
